At Winnie we’re all about using technology to help connect parents with the information they need to be successful.

Since we launched a little more than a year ago, parents on Winnie have written reviews on over 200,000 places they like to go with their children. Thanks to all this data, Winnie can tell you the best playgrounds in your city, help you find affordable childcare nearby where you live or work, and give you ideas for what you can do with with your family on the weekend.

Parents are everywhere, and so is Winnie.

But Winnie has become much more than just a repository of local knowledge. Thanks to our rapidly growing community across thousands of cities, you can now get advice and connect with other parents around the issues you care most about, such as adoption, single parenting, raising special needs children, enriching activities and more.

Why connection matters

Today’s young parents are different than the generations that came before them. The majority of households with children don’t have a full-time parent at home to network with other parents. They’re also not your stereotypical nuclear family — more and more primary caregivers are fathers, who are locked out of traditional resources such as mother’s groups.

Blended families and nontraditional co-parenting relationships are also on the rise as more progressive and migratory generations buck the trend of marriage and settling down as a precursor to raising a family. It’s clear that the solutions of 50 or even 10 years ago don’t cut it today.
