Snow Moon full of Gratitude
Launch of More Revolutionary Letters
Under the snow moon, the last snow seeps into the dry earth of Eastern Colorado, while just yesterday Ada McCartney was planting trees and dancing around a fire thousands of miles away. Chloe Tsolakoglou likely enjoyed her plants amidst costal city noises. C. M. Chady and Emily Willow further to the north, perhaps enjoyed today’s moon by its namesake. For Stephanie Michele and I, here in Colorado, the sun refracts puddles.
Tonight, I reload the computer screen after rolling over on my cat just before ten am to press the green launch now button on Kickstarter. Yesterday in a moment of panic I said “should we lower our goal?” Everyone immediately said “no.”
In less that 12 hours, our little book is 85% funded.
I will go ahead and say, I love being wrong.
In the same week Lawrence Ferlinghetti passed, we’re dangerously close to releasing a companion to the book he first gave a chance. The world believes in poetry and magic, and for this tonight we are deeply grateful.
We developed a plan both haphazard and detailed to prove this book’s need to exist over the next two weeks, and we look forward to its evolution as the work of More Revolutionary Letters spreads before the fundraiser ends.
This month has as brought growth to our Etsy shop. We now have two mini zines available. We have collage kits for the creatives. Finished collages for those who need inspiration. And a digital reading and writing course on the womb.
Coming weeks promise goddess coins, collages, and a study of Audre Lorde.
As for Medium, expect a series on Diane di Prima as we celebrate poet, mother, activist, and legend while we finish our Kickstarter campaign.
