What I loved about Tomb Raider

The answer is simple: Lara Croft character played by Alicia Vikander.

Only today I found out that she was from Sweden. I previously thought she was British for her incredible performance at Ex Machina, The Danish Girl and simply because her accent is impeccable and she is with one of my most respected actors — Michael Fassbender (even tho he is German-born, Irish actor).

Lara Croft is just the action hero that we need right now.

I saw Lara Croft as a positive Role Model for me and for other young women. She is strong, courageous, smart, vulnerable and she kick ass. She gets hit, but she stands up again. She is fierce and gracious at the same time.

Alicia’s dedication to the role and her transformation, helped me to come across her personal fitness trainer Magnus Lygdback and I must admit that I have a crush on him already.
