Social media users have been talking about a young man and his tribe after he caught a pricey Blue Marvin fish worth millions of dollars but only shared it with them.

Hope, a Nigeria newspaper claims that the fisherman caught it in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.

He had no idea that he had devoured the wealth of future generations. He consumed fish with his villager neighbours that was worth $2.6 million.

One of the swiftest fish on the planet is the blue marlin. The fish costs $30,000 per kilogramme. He would have received $2.6 million for it.

What is blue marlin fish?

The Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific oceans are home to the blue marlin (Makaira nigricans), a huge predatory fish. With adults often weighing between 150 and 250 kg (330 to 550 pounds) and growing as long as 4.3 metres, they are renowned for their enormous size (14 feet).
