Afghanistan and India signed an agreement on Tuesday (February 9, 2021) over the construction of the Shehtoot Dam in the Kabul river basin. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani were present in the virtual meeting. The agreement was signed by Minister of External Affairs, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Foreign Affairs Mohammed Haneef Atmar.
