What is Wish Chain?
In our first post, we introduced Beyond ICT, the partner company of Wish Chain. We unveiled the company’s plans for combining blockchain with Future Stations to provide for us the ultimate digital customer experience. Today, we want to introduce to you Wish Chain, the blockchain ecosystem that will be at the core of these Future Stations.
Wish Chain’s Goal
A major problem for cryptocurrencies is the absence of a bridge between online and offline, which in turns makes it difficult for people to use cryptocurrencies in their everyday lives. Searching for a viable solution to this hindrance to adoption, the founders of Wish Chain thought long and hard for an idea that would allow blockchain technology to be relevant in people’s lives, both online and offline. The byproduct of their imagination was Wish Chain. The creators of Wish Chain designed a blockchain project that would bridge the gap between online and offline to allow users to buy and sell products and services in the real economy through blockchain technology.
Bridging the Gap between Online and Offline through Blockchain
What exactly is “online” and what exactly is “offline”? Online refers to Wish Chain’s blockchain network. The network, which is by nature transparent, resistant to attacks, and efficient, functions as the underlying base of the Wish Chain ecosystem. It is a system in which sellers and buyers can exchange value, whether they are goods or services, through a trusted tokenized structure with limited intervention from third parties. In the blockchain network, data is also exchanged to help give sellers information on how to create the best, customized digital experience for buyers. This online part is essential for the Wish Chain ecosystem, but for people to use this network, they have to go offline.
Offline is where people utilize the blockchain network through the Future Station business and its Digital Hubs. By interacting with these physical, real life stations, people can enjoy different types of digital content to earn tokens for their participation, spend tokens at stores, and trade data with sellers. It is here that people are able to make use of the blockchain network designed by the Wish Chain team.
Let me give you an example. Say I watch a fun advertisement video created by one of the sellers. I receive Wish Stone tokens (this will be explained later) as a reward, with which I purchase a banana from a convenience store in one of the Future Stations. I am buying offline, but I am simultaneously utilizing the online network.
Are you seeing the picture now? Online and offline are no longer detached — they work together to give people a reason to touch and feel blockchain in their lives.
This is precisely what Wish Chain aims to accomplish in the near future. By developing our Wish Chain blockchain, constructing offline Future Stations, and inviting people to join our ecosystem, Wish Chain believes blockchain and cryptocurrency adoption will come sooner rather than later. After all, wouldn’t it be a waste if this marvelous technology remains limited to speculative trading?
