How We’re Celebrating Global TA Day at Wish

On September 7, 2022, Wish is celebrating #GlobalTADay! This event provides an incredible opportunity for us to acknowledge and celebrate the impact and contributions our Talent Acquisition (TA) teams make every day. They truly are amazing business partners and bring world-class talent to our organization.

As with many industries right now, recruitment has been at the center of significant changes — from the Great Reshuffle to layoffs. At Wish, we have been effectively monitoring the current talent landscape and our Talent Acquisition team has continued driving our business forward. We launched new sourcing techniques to connect with top-tier candidates, devised operation projects that improved some of our existing TA processes, cleaned up our candidate data in our Applicant Tracking System, and launched new recruitment marketing advertisements. All these projects were driven by our passion for building a best-in-class candidate experience for those pursuing opportunities to join our team here at Wish.

Another impactful change has occurred since then — we promoted Keri Hite as our new Director of Talent Acquisition! For this #GlobalTADay, I asked Keri to reflect on the last few months, her new role, and leading a TA organization amidst so many new business transformations.

“I am so excited for the opportunity to lead our Talent Acquisition team and their significant contribution to the business here at Wish! I am also celebrating my three-year Wish-anniversary with the company and to say the least my time here has been full of massive changes and transformation which is an understatement. Within our own business, Wish has had to find creative and effective ways to attract, retain, engage, and offer candidates while wrestling with many new changes within the organization.

Our Talent Acquisition team has taken so many steps in growing candidate pipelines during the crazy Great Reshuffle, we have furthered our pipeline for critical roles, launched more talent communities communications and launched more formal social media campaigns. Let’s just say, we are thrilled, excited — and ready for anything! I am so impressed with the teams’ commitment, loyalty, and innovation. After all these years together, I am proud to say we have gone through it all — good, bad, and ugly — and we have passed these tests with flying colors! In preparation for this day, I also listened to our epic, amazing, and exceptional managers, recruiters, sourcers, and coordinators. I asked them about their “Why Wish” stories, what they love most about their roles, and their vision for the future of the TA landscape.
