YouTube has become one of the largest entertainment mediums of all time. Nearly 5 billion YouTube videos watched EVERY SINGLE DAY! While most of you have heard of the infamous Paul brothers or the incredible guys at Dude Perfect, there are hundreds of other great micro-influencers that don’t receive the recognition they deserve.

  1. Tucker Gott

This man introduced me to the world of para-vlogging. If you didn’t know, para-vlogging refers to posting videos captured from a motorized steerable paraglider. It’s always exhilarating watching Tucker take to the skies and expertly manœuvre his way through the clouds.

He’s had a couple of close calls, but he certainly isn’t letting them interfere with his love for paragliding. I, for one, have dreamed of flying several times. Although my dreams may never become a reality, I can at least live out my fantasy through Tucker’s vlogs.

2. Colliscool

Do you love boy bands, Harry Potter, and girls with brightly-colored hair? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you need to check this channel out. Colleen Kelly, aka colliscool, is the Manic Pixie Dream Girl we all need in our lives. Besides obsessing over 5 Seconds of Summer, she creates hilarious sketches poking fun at fan girl culture. I’m low-key saddened that I will never be as cool as her.

3. Tom Daley

If the name Tom Daley sounds familiar, it’s probably because he made headlines after winning a bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics. The British diver’s channel features a wide variety of content including travel vlogs, exercises and healthy recipes.

One of my favorite things is when Tom’s husband, Dustin Lance Black, makes an appearance on his channel. Dustin is chock full of innuendos & watching the two of them banter back and forth reaffirms my faith in marriage.

4. John Fish

I came across John’s channel in April and my life has not been the same since. John Fish is a second-year Harvard student who creates content meant to motivate. I’m a lazy person; I would rather lie on a couch and watch Love Island all weekend than be productive. John’s content was the slap to the face I desperately needed to get serious. I’ve now been dedicating my time to the more important things the world has to offer.

5. Farmhouse on Boone

Lisa is a small town Missouri native who creates videos from her rustic home on Boone Street. Her simple, minimal lifestyle is admirable in this crazy digital world we live in. If you can appreciate food made from scratch, simple farmhouse decor and all natural living, you’re going to enjoy watching this extraordinary woman. You can ask her about DIYs, parenting and everything in-between via Wisio.

6. Ahsante the Artist

Meet Ahsante. A multimedia storyteller who utilizes her platform as a space for conversations on race, social justice & black culture . Our world is becoming more diverse and it’s important we have these kinds of discussions. I 100% recommend her latest video where she talks about the importance of solitude, introspection and self-maintenance.

7. Rowan Ellis

Rowan is an advocate for women’s rights and LGBTQ+ issues. She’s an extremely eloquent YouTuber who critiques pop culture from a queer feminist perspective. She makes sure each topic she covers has been researched in-depth and she gets straight to the point.

Her Why Do We Make Female Robots? video is brilliant. She addresses the psychology behind digital assistants like Siri & Alexa originally possessing female voices as well as the inherent gender biases of the tech industry.

8. Ryan Dengler

Do you even lift, bro? ’Cause Ryan Dengler certainly does. I’m not sure about many things, but I know this guy is going places. I can’t even begin to imagine the commitment one needs to look like Hercules at just eighteen. You heard me, EIGHTEEN! The football player gives us a behind-the-scenes look into his life as a student athlete, plus plenty of advice to help us keep fit.

9. Sarah Anne

Sarah Anne is all about body positivity. She became a certified life coach in 2014 and dedicates her channel to helping other plus-sized women feel confident in their own skin. That said, she doesn’t just create content for curvy girls, but for anyone who needs to learn how to accept themselves. Got any questions for her about fashion, beauty or even loving yourself? Get answers right here.

10. Kasey Chen

Hidden amidst the maelstrom of negativity that is the internet, is some genuinely wholesome content: Kasey Chen’s YouTube channel. This medical student is already making the world a better place with her good vibes and serene aura. She creates very simple yet aesthetically-pleasing videos anyone can appreciate.

Know any amazing micro-influencers who aren’t on this list? Let me know in the comments. I’ll be sure to feature them on the next post in this series.
