A handful of awesome channels showcasing the best of what the gay community has to offer.

  1. Adventures of Zach and B

Zach Patton-Garcia (standing) is a 24-year-old Texas native who married the incredibly wonderful Alastair (sitting) in August last year. The couple were wed in an intimate ceremony in true Southern fashion. Zach’s videos are organized in seasons; each showcasing different stages of his life. It’s been fulfilling watching his relationship with Alastair blossom into the beautiful thing it is today. He’s also a product of the University of Alabama so… ROLL TIDE!

2. MissFenderr

Alayna Fender may have started out as the mere captain of an improv team, but she’s now the personality behind MissFenderr, a channel which boasts nearly 200,000 subscribers! She frequently features other LGBT YouTubers to discuss gender and issues affecting the LGBT community. Furthermore, the 26-year-old Canadian has a I TRIED series where she attempts all sorts of weird new things for our amusement. Bonus fact: she absolutely adores cats!

3. Michael Rizzi

I’ve been subscribed to Michael’s channel for about 5 years now. Watching him become the well-spoken, confident man he is today makes me feel like a proud soccer mom. My favorite series on his channel is his LGBTQ+101 series which spotlights important topics such as the Sexualization of Gay Culture and Gay Rights in Canada. His channel also features vlogs, fashion lookbooks and fun travel videos.

4. Amber’s Closet

Amber is the life coach I honestly needed. She has an insanely awesome personality, a great sense of humor and is extremely open. She makes super helpful ‘How To’ videos while keeping things fun and fresh. Make sure to check out her StoryTimes to get a good laugh.

5. Ethan Hethcote

Ethan Hethcote is the other half of one of my favorite YouTube couples, Mark and Ethan. In this post, however, I’m focusing solely on Ethan. What I love most about him is the sheer positive energy he radiates into the atmosphere. He runs Everyday Productions with his boyfriend where you can find cool clothing, mugs and more!

6. Maya

Maya is a beautiful, confident 21-year-old trans woman. She has been very open about the good, the bad and the ugly of her transitioning process. You can follow her journey through vlogs, clothing hauls, vegan food tours and hilarious story times.

7. TheNotAdam

RJ Aguiar is mostly known as being one-half of the popular YouTube duo: NotAdamAndSteve. He’s a writer, actor, producer and model. His channel basically has something for everyone. Whether it’s politics, comedy, random vlogs or rants about being bisexual, RJ’s got a video for you.

8. A Million Mad Musings

I discovered Gemma’s channel during my high school years and it quickly entered my list of my top YouTube channels. Her content is pretty niche, mainly geared for ardent, Tumblr-obsessed fans of TV shows. That said, Gemma is so damn entertaining it’s impossible to keep a straight face while watching her. Where else are you going to see a drunken woman ramble about possible fictional relationships and give great life advice?

Know any great lesser-known LGBT YouTubers who aren’t on this list? Let me know in the comments below.
