We are introducing the wit/creative_work entity today to help you identify songs, albums, tv shows and movies in your messages.
You can now easily build experiences on top of artist work: your app can recognize the song “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and play it, give you the latest news on “House of Cards”, or find you tickets for “The Grinch”.
wit/creative_work works best at recognizing the exact names of works that are not common phrases of speech, thus we recommend training your own entity for extracting creative work in sentences such as “play Up the movie” or “play Ariana Grande’s newest single”. The first example doesn’t work since “Up” is a common phrase in daily speech, and the second example doesn’t contain an exact song or album name (although you can leverage wit/notable_person to recognize “Ariana Grande”).
