Hello! WITCH followers, 2024 has begun.

As of today, the WITCH Team has also started its tasks for the year 2024.
All marketing promotions conducted by WITCH until last year have officially ended, and from this year onwards, we plan to resume the 2024 WITCH Project.

Reflection on 2023 with a PR focus — Formation of Virtual Fandom Culture

Over the past three years, the WITCH Team has been focusing on launching NFT marketplaces and immersing itself in the changing landscape of the content market due to the decentralization of digital systems.
Among these efforts, we have particularly paid attention to the emerging K-pop fandom culture created by the streaming music market, highlighted by events such as the sale of Loopy’s photocards in 2021 (https://www.blockchaintoday.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=18295) and the release of KISUM’s virtual album in 2022 (https://www.edaily.co.kr/news/readnewsId=01088966632228880&mediaCodeNo=258).
The evolving fandom culture, including album purchases for collection, fan meeting lotteries, and photocard draws, is undergoing a transformation into new forms offline, fueled by global fandoms.
Over the past year, the WITCH Team has transferred this evolving fandom culture into WITCHWORLD through its own metaverse. We have provided a new metaverse experience accessible to everyone by offering transparent digital products such as NFT albums, NFT photocards, and NFT lotteries (https://www.newswire.co.kr/newsRead.php?no=977275).
In fact, more than 70% of virtual albums sold in WITCHWORLD in the last year were purchased by global fandoms.
These global fandoms have actively engaged in WITCHWORLD, decorating artists’ spaces and personal avatars with artist goods, initiating a new virtual fandom culture (https://www.fintechtimes.co.kr/news/article.html?no=38474).

2024 WITCH Project

Activating the Token Economy

The WITCH Project aims to be a decentralized platform that encourages a reward system based on contributions to the platform.
WITCH, tied to the creation and purchase of various digital items in WITCHWORLD, will be locked up, and it will be unlocked again for the creation of new events and products to enhance community engagement. Community members will be able to participate in the creation of diverse spaces and products based on their platform contributions, activating a token economy centered around various products. Additionally, preparations for new use cases and activities for ‘CHICHI,’ the unique DAO and operator of the metaverse in the WITCH Project, will be made to precisely define the direction of the WITCH Project towards Web3.

Platform Stabilization

Up until now, WITCH has been dedicated to a web-centric metaverse, providing an excellent 3D metaverse experience through web browsers on both PCs and mobile devices. However, due to the inherent characteristics of web browsers and certain global fan communities, there have been continuous technological limitations in achieving a perfect 3D experience. The WITCH team is committed to launching the WITCHWORLD application to ensure that everyone can easily and stably enjoy WITCHWORLD. WITCHWORLD has been oriented towards a multi-platform approach since its inception, and the 3D spaces created by users will be accessible in the same shared space across web browsers, applications, and eventually through VR. Additionally, various games that allow users to spend time in the free digital space will also be introduced.

Virtual Album and Expansion of Various IPs

The WITCH team is dedicated to providing a space in the metaverse where diverse global fan communities can enjoy communication and interaction centered around content, with a focus on virtual albums.
Through virtual albums, we aim to provide artists and fan communities with new values that can be cherished in the digital space for a lifetime, going beyond merely listening to albums. Furthermore, through various partnerships, we plan to introduce a variety of IPs to enable all global fan communities who love K-culture to engage in more fandom activities in the digital space through WITCHWORLD.
Through these diverse IPs, WITCH users will have the opportunity to experience personally crafted digital avatars in a 3D space surrounded by their favorite K-content.
