If you’re stuck at home due to quarantine, you’re probably wondering what the best way to celebrate Beltane would be since you can’t go to any festivals. Don’t fret! There are several ways you can celebrate Beltane from the comfort of your own home, and they are just as loving and valid.

Beltane is upon us, starting on May 1st in the Northern Hemisphere.

Also known as “May Day,” Beltane is the celebration of fertility, abundance, springtime, and optimism. We could all use a little bit of love that May brings!

So, how can you celebrate it at home? Alone? Connect with yourself and breathe deeply, then enjoy these other few little things.

Make a little candle bonfire for yourself. Light a few candles and enjoy their relaxing light and love. Celebrate the optimism that candles bring, maybe cast a spell or two. Embrace their light.

Dance like no one is watching. Find a song that fills your heart with joy and dance the night away.

Make a crystal grid. Place your crystals around, almost as if you’re making a faerie offering. Place flowers alongside them, or any other plants you may have.

Cleanse your space. Sage or mist your home and send nuggets of wisdom and positivity around it.

Celebrate via Video-Chat. Gather your witches together and hop on a video chat call via Zoom, Facetime, or whatever your preferred method. Connect with others who would like to celebrate, even if they are far away.

Connect with your sensuality. Beltane is a celebration of fertility and love, why not show yourself a little love? Connect with what you desire, maybe dance a little or do some hip opening yoga. Whatever you feel called to do.

Cleanse YOUR energy. A great way to cleanse your own personal energy is through the water. Literally washing off what you might be holding on to. Many witches do this via bath with the candles lit and bubbles on. However, a cleansing warm shower can work wonders, too!

A great manifestation to repeat to yourself during Beltane is, “I am love. I deserve love. I am surrounded by love.”
