My farvourite mug shot
  • Pomodoro research says: Take a break after 25 minutes.
  • Other research says: Take a break every hour.
  • Other research says: Get outside a couple of times a day.

I do all of these, some of the time.

The important thing is. Take a break. And carry a coffee mug.

Well, not if you’re going outside in winter or bad weather. If you’re going outside, and you have to change shoes or add a layer, everyone can see you’re going out. They don’t know it’s for a break. But going outside is its own excuse. It’s called exercise.

Otherwise, carry a mug. Carry a mug to consult about a problem. Carry a mug to help someone out with a wonky Word thing, or a gimpy Git thing. Just always carry a mug. It’s its own explanation. Take a break, carry a mug.

If anyone asks why, tell them Dilbert told you to do it. After all, hypothetically, if you missed a day, how would the mug get around the office?
