An Ironic Pandemic

One of the most ironic things I encountered was the fact that wearing masks not only protected us from covid 19 but also from every other airborne virus. We started wearing masks and washing hands and doing everything we are supposed to to prevent ourselves from getting covid, only to not get any type of flu or cold. My personal experience is that by taking all the necessary precautions for Covid 19 for about a year, I have not once gotten sick. It was rather strange because getting a cold every once in a while or having the flu or a little outbreak, no one was getting sick. It was weird that by finally taking care of ourselves, we were able to protect ourselves not only from a deadly disease, but from a minor inconvenient one such as a cold or a flu. One other things that I found ironic from Covid 19 was that despite gyms being closed, people who did not work out before decided to start working out at home. Another thing is that people started to have more time to themselves, being trapped at home and all and took up hobbies, hobbies that before the pandemic would have no interest in or have no time for.
