Definitely Ironic, But Now Normalized

During the pandemic, I think there has actually been several things I have found ironic, but the most predominant, I believe, will always be that some people were so against wearing masks. What makes this extremely ironic is the fact that professionals and doctors have been saying since the beginning of the pandemic that mask wearing among everyone is a crucial aspect to stopping and slowing the spread of COVID-19. With that knowledge, why then would anyone choose not to wear a mask, and give other reasons that really don’t matter as to why they don’t want to wear one, when wearing a mask can greatly assist us in overcoming this pandemic, and literally, save someone’s life? This is something I have found so ironic since the beginning of the pandemic, and it actually opened my eyes a lot to the fact that there really are so many people who don’t believe in science or just listen to what other people say, who are not doctors and professionals, who would not know about the importance of mask wearing. At least that is what I chose to see because I really don’t want to think that anyone would intentionally want to put anyone else in danger by not wearing a mask. I still find this very ironic, but at this point it is definitely more normalized and doesn’t even surprise me when I see someone in public without a mask, but with all that, I still have hope that some people will still open their eyes soon, as a year later, we are still in the midst of the pandemic.
