Disney remakes have becomes very popular recently. Its something that pulls everyone. Seeing something you watched when you were younger and watching it on the big screen with real actors creates a huge audience for this kind of film. It pulls in kids and a adults which makes them great family movies as well. The last film Disney recreated was “Beauty and the Beast”. This enchanting tail was captured just as one would imagine it to be and made for on of the best films of the year.

Bill Condon tackled this project and brought it to perfection. In his career he has directed other show stoppers like “Dreamgirls” (2006) and “Kinsey” (2004). Animated Disney movies can be challenging to take on and perhaps overwhelming but he was able to bring it all together to create the perfect recreation of “Beauty and the Beast”. A big part of what makes his directing so great is the acting choices. Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, and Josh Gad came together and played their roles perfectly. They were all able to capture the essence of the original characters Disney created years ago. Condon really made this such a success because he stuck true to the roots of the story. He does not really change anything, which is great. Many remakes can disappoint because its not true to the original, but not here. He did not turn the production into a new story but instead kept everything that made the original so great and made is possible to do in real life. Everything about the movie came out perfect, the scenery, the costume, the beast. Nothing made anybody wanting more. It was a great job done by Condon, he really made this the real life Disney fairytale.

The remakes of old Disney movies is becoming very popular. They have done it a lot in the past couple years. For example they have done a spine off of “Sleeping Beauty” called “Maleficent”, and have recreated “The Jungle Book” and “Alice in Wonderland”. On top of all of that their newest announcement of a soon to be remake “The Lion King”. This trend is not stopping anytime soon. It is something everyone wants to see because everyone has seen the original animated Disney movies and who wouldn’t want to see them recreated on the big screen? “The Beauty and the Beast” remake was a perfect edition to this line up. It gave everything the audience wanted and more. With the classic Disney songs everyone knows and loves and the timeless characters this remake strengthened Disneys remake nature and did not disappoint the original.

In my opinion these Disney remakes are always gonna be something people want to see. From my perspective I watched these movies as a little girl and dressed up like these princesses for Halloween and always imagined what it would be like if the whole thing was real. These remakes did that. It captured all the playfulness of being a child but was also good enough for any adult to see. It was so enjoyable to watch and brought back so many memories from my childhood. Disney movies generally never fail on bringing smiles to the people watching their movies and I think this remake of “Beauty and the Beast” is a prime example of that.
