Vericore Technologies, an indigenous technology firm and proponent of enhancing the digital educational age is giving back to the society with a donation of 5,000 Wizitup license gift cards to The Daystar Christian Centre’s Back to School Project.

The gift cards give the kids one full-year access to the WizitUp K12 Learning app. The educational app uses Cartoons, Songs and Rhymes, Games and Quizzes to teach the primary curriculum, an innovative approach that meets the unique needs of our digital natives.

Daystar’s Back to School Project, a benevolence initiative aimed at equipping students for the new school year, which started in 2013, has progressively catered to the needs of thousands of students in Lagos. According to Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Senior Pastor of the Daystar Christian Centre, this is a social responsibility that the church should always rise up to. Truly, this year’s “rise up” was sterling — reaching 20,000 students across the city.

The donation is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, and an effort at identifying with the excellent contribution of Daystar towards supporting the needs of kids in schools.

Mr Kenny Folarin, accepting the donation, in a communication with Vericore’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Felix Imafidon, expressed his gratitude for the organisation’s generosity towards the Back to School Program.
