Aude Hofleitner · Data Scientist · Internet.org
For her PhD at UC Berkeley, Aude studied traffic patterns in cities using GPS from taxis to help people make better route planning decisions. After interning at Facebook, Aude joined Internet.org, where she studies internet network coverage and quality to discover the barriers that prevent people from having access to the Internet in the developing and under-developing parts of the world. She also researches migration patterns, the way people change their behavior after moving to a new place, and the cultural reasons why people move. Aude was trained in applied math and was worried about succeeding as a software engineer. She quickly realized that she had many other skills to bring to the table and found a job that utilizes her passion to connect the world using her skills in data science.
