Best of Systers Stories now on Wogrammer

As with many great ideas, Systers came out of a conversation Anita Borg herself had with several friends at a tech conference over 30 years ago. Since then this group has grown into a list of more than 8700 members from over 80 countries. Additionally, under the Systers umbrella there are more than 30 Affinity Groups led by an amazing group of 50+ volunteers, nearing 70k global members.

As Wogrammer proudly becomes part of the AnitaB.org team, we are continuing our work to capture and share stories that inspire and celebrate diverse women and non-binary individuals in tech. Best of Systers was an initiative that captured stories that highlight individual technologists, their accomplishments and their contributions to the larger tech industry. We are happy to share you can now find a majority of those stories right here on Wogrammer.

As with many great ideas, they evolve over time. Going forward we will continue to share #BestOfSysters stories on our social media channels. If you have a guest post you’d like to contribute to AnitaB.org, please submit them for consideration to be included in Anita’s Quilt.
