Malia always tinkered with computers and electronics as a hobby, but her technical role in the Navy really solidified her love for computers and made her realize she could build a career out of tinkering. More recently, as the president of Women in Cybersecurity SoCal, her group has assisted 15 women in getting hired in the cybersecurity industry since June 2019.
