Wolfpack Digital 3-in-1 Wrap-Up: Looking Back to an Eventful Spring
Are you bitter that Game of Thrones has ended? Do you feel like there is space to fill in your spare time? No worries! We will be your Lords of Development and Defenders of Apps. Winter is gone and here’s our Wrap-up for April, May and June. Ladies and gents, all our memories from the past 3 months have been “framed” and ready to be admired. We believe it’s safe to say the warm season was rather hot for the pack!
Wizz Air Marathon and the Night Run 🏃🏃🏾🏃🏽
Our wolves are always healthy, strong and in a good shape. It can’t be any other way around when there’s not a single running competition that we miss. This spring we’ve participated at Wiz Air Marathon and “Crosul de Noapte” — a night race.
Girls Who Code Cluj Launch Event
Our CEO, Georgina Lupu-Florian (yes, that’s me), participated at the launch event of the Girls Who Code — Cluj initiative at Paddy Power Betfair, where together with Paula Tibre, Daniel Farmache, Dan Andon, Camelia Pop and Nicoleta Tirtan, she was part of a truly inspiring conversation on diversity.
The audience was made out of more than 100 people. We wish the very best to this newly-formed community!
Dell Technologies Forum
Later in April, Georgina Lupu Florian was invited as a special guest to the Dell Technologies Forum — Women in Technology event held in Cluj-Napoca to further discuss gender gaps, leadership as a woman, and how every related challenge can be turned into an opportunity.

Here’s a short video from our last team building. We haven’t missed a thing:
✅ Shopping all the groceries by ourselves
We decided to break into 4 teams and see which team will be the fastest. We had lots of fun and had a good shopping practice;
✅ The adventure of getting to the final destination
Some of us decided that cycling to the destination partially driving or riding a Harley Davidson bike;
✅ Playing games and having fun — football, dancing around, board games;
✅ Building a campfire — developing our surviving skills and putting in practice the “howling at the moon” talent;
✅ Singing songs by the fire — there are some talented artists among us. Remembering the good old days, singing the songs from 20' and doing karaoke in the middle of wild nature;
✅ Having a hell of a good time.

Our healthtech startup, Pamble, winner of the Alpha Hub accelerator powered by Paddy Power Betfair out of 200 teams from 50 countries, this time got a thrilling mention in Ziarul Finanicar 🎉. In case you don’t know anything about Pamble, the short story is that we are building a mobile companion application for problem gambling treatment, and we are looking forward to launching v1 later this year.

Egg Hunting
Back to the office now. The Easter Holidays went by and we decided to test the hunting skills of our team by organising an “Egg Hunting” competition.
The Easter Bunny’s been today,
He dropped some eggs along the way.The skilful wolves are fast and wise,
And in the end, they got the prize.
Just look at our lovely backyard — it is our safe haven where we go to relax and get fresh air during the breaks. We’ve added some colourful tables and chairs and now it feels like a scene from the Alice in Wonderland movie.
Talking about Alice in Wonderland, here’s a picture with The White Rabbit that came straight from France for the Easter’s Holidays. It is our dear colleague that will be back soon and we can’t wait to have him around the office.
Sometimes the White Rabbit becomes the Mad Hatter.
Thank you Robi for making us laugh but please don’t eat all the chocolate eggs.
Ride2Work Cluj
It’s hard to contemplate the lovely weather outside without taking our bikes out for a ride.
🚵 ️All the roads lead to Wolfpack Digital! Good job to all the peers who bike to work, especially to all our colleagues who decided to put the pedal to the pavement and join the Ride2Work Cluj season-opening edition.

Game of Wolves
We decided to celebrate the much disputed GoT finale with our very own “Game of Wolves” event at the #WolfDen.

The event was such a success that we decided to redo it as often as possible.
Thing is we couldn’t wait for the next edition for more than a couple of weeks.

Gina joined Startup Live Global Cluj-Napoca as a mentor and was thrilled to meet some exciting startups tackling problems in corporate social responsibility, housing trends, digital agency workload automation etc.
We believe the future looks bright for all these people bearing these truly disruptive ideas!

1-Year Anniversary Since We Moved to Our New Office
🎂 Remember the time we moved to our new centrally-located yet nature surrounded office and actually built an app for the occasion? That was one year ago and we are growing fonder and fonder of our place and look forward to another fantastic summer here!
Techsylvania Hackathon — 2nd Place Won by Wolf Hacker
Our colleague, Mihai Dornea 👇, took the 2nd place together with the A-micii team, at the Techsylvania Hackathon focusing on Fintech innovation — building banking for the new generation — , and we couldn’t be more proud!
The product developed by Mihai and his team during the 24-hour round of intense coding is called Leaf. Leaf is a peer-to-peer lending system where you can lend or borrow money anonymously for personal loans with interest. Good luck with growing Leaf! 🍃
Rails BBQ Techsylvania Satellite Event in Our Backyard
The Rails BBQ Techsylvania satellite event organised by Ruby a la Cluj in our office garden was yummy, to say the least! The community went through the history and the strength of Ruby & Rails and then celebrated it all with some delicious food.
Women in Tech Cluj —” What Can Diversity Bring to the Tech World?” Meetup
This panel event organised by the Women in Tech Cluj community at ClujHub as a Techsylvania satellite event was all about highlighting the power and challenges involved in having diverse teams. The conclusion was that it’s all worth it in the end! 👛👜👝💼
We are happy to have had our CEO (again, yes, that’s me!) moderate this truly cosy discussion featuring international speakers Victoria Chloé Albrecht, Founder and Managing Director at Springbok AI— also a speaker on the conference main stage — and Gosia Markowska, Business Developer at Talent Alpha.
Wolfpack Digital as a Silver Partner at Techsylvania 2019
As we are sure you already guessed, we are big fans of the biggest tech conference in Eastern Europe, so this year we decided to join the event as a partner again. This time around Wolfpack Digital joined in as a Silver Partner and we could barely handle all the excitement around it!

Our Colourful Stand at Techsylvania
The Wolves decided to show off their true colours by bringing a corner of our very own office to the event.
With special coding challenges, attractive prizes (complete with a levitating moon, to fit the SpaceX reference - wink, wink!), goodies to share, and a fun photo booth filled with all the coding puns we could think of, it’s safe to say nobody left our stand bored or uninformed.
