At the end of each month, we will share snippets of what we’ve been up to and some highlights from the Wolfpack Digital team. Fasten your seatbelts, dears, it’s going to be a hell of a ride!

Wolfpack Digital attending cool events

Our CEO, Georgina Lupu and CTO, Adrian Florian attended TechBBQ in Copenhagen, a two-day international tech-startup summit where they’ve made some fruitful connections with like-minded people who have a passion for new ideas and cutting edge-technologies.

#TechBBQ International Startup Summit

TechBBQ has been an amazing experience, with so many Scandinavian startups in IoT, FinTech, EdTech, FoodTech etc. showing their massive power and potential right in the heart of Copenhagen, surrounded by an all-green nature theme!
Moreover, it wasn’t just about ideas, design, solutions or approaches to business, it was also about powerful human connection and the sense of being part of something great, something bigger.
I would also like to place my bet on Hafnium Labs (predicting chemistry using AI) as the next unicorn. You made me want to go back to finish my ML Ph.D someday soon.
A big thank you to all the organizers, attendants and inspirational speakers and congrats to all the winners!
Wolfpack Digital will see you again next year!
Georgina Lupu

Moving back to Romania, you also could have seen us at the evening networking trade fair Back 2 Business which took place in Cluj.

We love being hosts ❤

From time to time, we like to host action-packed events during which we invite over people from the tech industry. It's a great way to find and catch the latest waves of the rapidly changing industry and meet new people.

#WomenInTech & Ruby on Rails Meetups

This month we widely opened our doors on the occasion of a new Meetup on Ruby and Rails and a Women in Tech gathering. As you can easily see, we do love events a lot! If you want to find out more about our love for hosting events, take a look at our “Tech Conferences: Why bother?” article.

Do you have a tech event idea and you think we would be great hosts for it? Drop a line at marketing@wolfpack-digital.com and maybe your event will appear in our next wrap-up in the hosted events section.

#webyte and we have fun!

Work is Fun

Typical team buildings are not for us. We want them to be fun, active and memorable. It’s not a HR requirement, but more like a shared collective lifestyle. September weather played in our favor and we did some crazy stuff together. Cycling around the city, playing football, paintball and ping-pong, going to adventure parks and laser-tag were just few of the many. And, we couldn’t miss the B2Run event — where, by the way, all the running wolves have completed successfully the competition and the medals we’ve received were genuine. Cause, you know what they say, #webyte! (See what we did there?)

Learning and Growing Together is our secret weapon

It’s in the nature of a wolf to seek new growing opportunities and improve constantly.

#MangoMoments & Book Hunting

On this matter, we had two “Mango Moments”. You don’t know what that means yet?

Every two weeks on Friday, one of the wolves shares his wisdom with the pack. After the presentation, he usually gets a big round of applause and a mango. It’s our way of getting to know each other from a whole different perspective and to learn a different skill, trick or an interesting topic. This month we had two presentations on ‘Inner Engineering’ and ‘Life is a process not a product’.

Wanna know what we're reading after-hours? Some of our colleagues have been into Yuval Noah Harari lately, and we're pretty sure you have heard of him. He became pretty popular after publishing Sapiens, his first book and this month we read 21 one lessons for the 21st century, his latest publication.

Another really cool book is Skin in The Game, by one of the foremost thinkers of our days: Nassim Nicholas Taleb. Our opinion about it? It is a practical book that can give you a new perspective on what it means to understand the world, succeed in our professions and add value to the society. If you ask us, we totally recommend it!

Coming Up Next:

After all, September was a productive month with a lot going on the professional side and in the company. There’s nothing left for us to do but to embrace the new October vibe and keep up the good work. And, to give you a small spoiler from the following month: We are sponsoring the Startup Safari event and we’ll be hosting some sessions, which you are more than welcome to join by registering here: https://cluj.startupsafari.com

Good job team! Papa Wolf Corleone is proud of you.

Stay warm, work hard and don’t miss the next Wolfpack Digital Wrap-Up.

With love, the Wolfpack Digital team — #woofwoof
