As WOM seeks to build sustainable and more ethical user-generated marketing channel that incentivizes and rewards honest word-of-mouth recommendations, the stake-holder capitalism platform of Davos syncs with our blockchain startup’s mission statement for 2020.

2020 is going to be a great year for WOM.

On this end we have some great news to report. There’s a lot of positive developments in the world to improve society and create more honest networks, channels and ecosystems. We have some exciting news to share as we kick off this brand new decade.

Grand Prize in Davos

WOM Protocol took first place in a blockchain pitch event in Davos last week!

I was recently at Davos speaking at CV Labs Summit and Digital Davos 2020 and also pitched in front of an expert panel of judges to bring home the grand prize.

WOM Protocol won a feature in crypto influencer Teeka Tiwari’s 600k subscriber newsletter and a speaking slot for myself (Melanie Mohr) at Finwise in April. If you’re at the event, definitely give me a shout!

As we expand our partnerships, advisers, investors and fine-tune some of the details of our product road map for 2020, we are kick starting the new year with style.

New Advisors

WOM Protocol has new advisors from Kairon Labs, including co-founder Jens Willemen.

Kairon Labs performs liquidity provisioning and algorithmic trading services as a designated market maker for utility tokens and cryptocurrencies. Through in house development of their proprietary trading software they are able to deploy custom algorithms and trading strategies on more than 100 different centralized and decentralized cryptocurrency exchanges.

The team consists of top talent from some of the largest financial institutions in Belgium as well as early crypto adopters. You can also find them on Medium here.

Jens Willemen said this of WOM Protocol:

“During our time in the crypto space as a market maker we have seen that there is a limited opportunity for projects to rise up and be more than just a speculative asset that people trade on exchanges. Most projects lack real world adoption and this is the key reason why liquidity for their token dries up after a short hype cycle of speculative demand.

WOM’s Use Case in the Token Economy

“We believe WOM will be one of few projects that can actually break through this barrier and achieve sustainable demand for their token. Key reason being we see an executive team that has come up with a token model with a real use case and a very strong will to push this forward. Most teams do not care about the token holders or the token economy anymore after they have raised their funds. WOM is different and this is why we chose, for the first time in years, to be compensated in WOM tokens only instead of also taking a fiat retainer for our advisory services.”

YEAY App Integrates with WOM Protocol

The YEAY App Launch

The YEAY app was re-released in a test phase at the beginning of the year and with it a private version of the WOM Protocol was launched!

This is a huge step forward for the WOM Protocol. Additional YEAY updates have further refined the user interface and integrated with our partner advanced store to make the videos shoppable. Future releases will add additional key features including implementing the payment process.

  • Discover, recommend and earn with the YEAY app.
  • Shoot and share real recommendation videos of what you love. Be yourself, and tell the world about your favorite products and experiences.
  • YEAY is a popular app with GenZ micro video lifestyle and product creators.
  • The app gives you the ability to explore the latest recommendations that have been rated trustworthy by the community.

New Communities

Our community is expanding into new geographies and new languages! We now have budding WOM (telegram) communities in Vietnam, Japan, India, & Brazil, in addition to our already vibrant English-speaking and Korean communities.

We are also celebrating our brand new South Korean listing!

Lastly we have moved our HQ from Malta to Singapore in 2020 as our community expands globally.

Now you can finally be rewarded for your recommendations on the YEAY app. Stay tuned for more exciting news.
