How to use Wombat Exchange on Arbitrum

Brace yourselves, Arbinauts! Wombat Exchange is finally launching on Arbitrum on April 5th at 6AM UTC! We’re thrilled to bring our hyper-efficient stableswap and single-sided liquidity pools to all our new users on Arbitrum.

To make sure that everyone is ready to roll when we launch, we have put together some easy-to-follow tutorials on how to bridge your WOM tokens to Arbitrum, provide liquidity, and how to use Wombat Exchange in general.

Getting Started

To use Wombat Exchange on Arbitrum One, there are a few simple steps you need to follow:

Go to Wombat Exchange’s app: https://app.wombat.exchange/

1. Click “Connect Wallet”
2. Choose your preferred wallet option in the pop-up
3. Approve the connection on your wallet
4. Click “Wrong Network” If you’re not previously connected to BNB or Arbitrum One
5. Choose “Arbitrum” in the network selection pop-up
6. Approve the connection on your wallet and you’re good to go!

If you haven’t added the Arbitrum One network to your wallet, you either choose the network available in your wallet or add it manually:

Network name: Arbitrum One

New RPC URL: https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc

Chain ID: 42161

Currency symbol: ETH

Block Explorer URL: https://arbiscan.io/

Using Wombat Exchange on Arbitrum

Note: Arbitrum uses Ethereum (ETH) as its gas token, not ARB!

How to bridge WOM to Arbitrum

An important note is that each chain in our ecosystem will operate independently, and as such, BNB veWOM holders will not have the ability to participate in the Arbitrum governance system to earn bribes.

If you’re interested in transferring your WOM to Arbitrum to lock and mint veWOM, boost your yields, and participate in gauge voting, we’ve got you covered! We’ve partnered with Wormhole for multichain development and will demonstrate the transfer process step-by-step using their portal bridge.

Before we jump into that, to protect yourself, make sure to save the official token addresses of your wallet to avoid falling for scams!

Follow the steps outlined below to initiate the transfer:

1. Go to https://www.portalbridge.com/
2. Choose the source and target chain as Binance Smart Chain and Arbitrum respectively
3. Connect your source chain wallet
4. Click on “Select a token” and select WOM
5. Enter the desired amount you want to bridge over and click “Next”

Next, to connect to your target chain and send tokens, follow these steps:

1. Connect your target chain wallet
2. Select your preferred payment method for gas fees then click “Next”
3. Click “Transfer” and confirm the transaction in the pop-up window
4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet to initiate the transfer
5. Wait for blockchain confirmations

To redeem your tokens:

1. click “Redeem” and confirm the transaction in your wallet

Congratulations, your tokens are now successfully bridged!

Remember: It’s important to remember that bridging funds across different chains always comes with some risk, so do your own research and proceed with caution!
