Dungeon Worlds Mining is live!
Hi Dungeoneers! As we’re moving closer and closer to the release of Dungeon Worlds, we’re happy to share a vital part of this experience with you today already! That’s right, mining goes live today — here’s what you need to start getting those extra materials!
How to start mining?
Before you jump into the mines, you need to make sure you have all the necessary NFTs.
First, you will need at least one land patch in order to create a mine. Every land contains exactly one kind of material, so pick which ones you want to mine wisely — mining will have a really good output of materials which you’ll be able to to use in the in-game shop in Dungeon Master.
Second, you need a character NFT to send it to your mine. Right now it doesn’t matter which one you get, but without one, there’s nobody to send out for mining. If you don’t have a playable wombat character yet, we still have a few packs left on NeftyBlocks!
As soon as you’ve sent your character into a mine, mining will start and you’ll be able to claim your materials anytime. These will appear as little material pots next to the mine in the UI, so just click on any of them to get your material credited to your Dungeon Master material balance. Please note that the mining claim may take a few seconds up to a few minutes to be reflected in your Dungeon Master material balance.
Ahead of the mining launch, we set up an additional single land drop on NeftyBlocks — so if you don’t own one yet, stock up there!
Please be aware that your Dungeon Worlds Mining output does not count towards your Well of Wealth achievements and is also not getting boosted by the items equipped on your wombat in Dungeon Master.
How can I increase my mining rate?
Unlike dungeon runs, mining is unrestricted, and you can start and stop the activity at any time. The base rates with which your character mines on any land with a certain resource are as follows:
- Coal: 500 / day
- Iron: 100 / day
- Uranium: 20 / day
- Gold: 1.33 / day
These rates will increase with the mining character’s power attribute. We’re working on different ways of increasing character attributes, the first of which will be training.
Note: The number of mines you can have in Dungeon Worlds is only limited by the number of lands you own.
Although mining is going to play a big role, you can fully expect that this is just a tiny glimpse of what we’re preparing for Dungeon Worlds. However small, we are very excited to see you finally putting your wombats to use, and we hope you enjoy your extra materials!
