Clans are coming to Tapmonsters!

Today, Tapmonsters, the Chainmonsters Telegram spin-off, goes multiplayer with the new Clan features. It will unlock more competitive mechanics in the future — read on for more details on the initial release and how it will evolve.
What are Clans for?
Clans create a cooperative layer in Tapmonsters, paving the way for players to strengthen their positions outside of the main leaderboard based on their strategy and performance. Initially, being in a clan — a.k.a., a Research Division — gives you a 5% bonus on Coins mining. Some of the upcoming advantages include:
- Clan-wide boosts to Coin mining, Chainmon discovery, research speed and etc.
- Participation in Clan battles is defined by your Tapping power and the Chainmons you and your clanmates discovered
How to create or join a clan?
In the initial release, you will only be able to join a clan via a direct invitation from its founder. In the future, we will add a possibility to browse and apply at clans that have open spots.
To create a clan, navigate to the Clan icon in the lower menu and tap on the ‘Create Clan’ button. Note that forming a Clan costs 1 million Coins. Note that this sum is not refundable — even if you leave your clan.
How do clans compete against each other?
The base measure is every Clan’s Research Points balance. These points are used to buy upgrades for your clan, boosting every member in one way or another.
You can obtain Research Points by completing Clan Tasks. We may or may not include the possibility to gain Research Points for Coins as well.
Anyone can use their clan’s RP balance, but only the clan founder decides how these will be spent. So that will require a great deal of coordination between members to deploy their points.
In the future, clans will also engage in Battles where their performance will add to their overall tally.
