Introducing Gems to Dungeon Master!
Hello, Dungeoneers!
On November 13th, we’re introducing a new feature to Dungeon Master: Gems.
These allow you to improve your production rates, earn value through NFT buybacks — with 10% of net profits going back towards burning $WOMBAT — and be in with a chance at BIG $WUF rewards!

What are Gems?
Gems are a new way to upgrade Professions gear. By using Gems to enhance your gear, you will boost your production.
There are six types of Gems, each corresponding to a different type of Professions gear:
- Emerald: Increased XP boosts from the Professor’s Set
- Ruby: Higher chances for additional NFTs from the Collector’s Set
- Diamond: Enhanced Contribution Points from the Cook’s Set
- Sapphire: Increased run speed from the Sprinter’s Set
- Topaz: Increased token earnings from the Banker’s Set
- Amethyst: Enhancement of an unannounced Set
Each type of Gem comes in 5 levels of increasing power, ranging from Chipped to Perfect.

We will be monitoring the impact of Gems as they roll out, and may make adjustments to the boosts given by each Gem post-launch for better balance.
How do I upgrade Gems?
Gems will be available to blend via NeftyBlocks. We will provide a direct link once Gems are live on November 13.
By blending three Gems of the same rarity, players can obtain one gem of a higher rarity.
Be warned — when blending Gems, there is a small chance that the blend will fail. If it does, you will lose all the Gems used in the blend.

What is the Gem buyback system?
On top of giving the biggest bonuses, Perfect Gems — the highest tier available — have another advantage: we will purchase them from you at any time!
We’re doing this for two main reasons:
- To ensure steady floor prices across all tiers of Gems
- To give the community guaranteed liquidity on the highest tiers of Gems
We hope this will encourage players to take the risk of upgrading their gems, whilst ensuring there’s available liquidity for Perfect Gems. We also believe this will help to drive Gem trading on AtomicHub, and therefore help drive $WOMBAT token burns.
How do I acquire Gems?
Starting November 13, Gems will be available via unlimited pack drops on NeftyBlocks. Two types of Gem packs will be available:
- Simple Gem Pack: 31.25 $WAX, contains 1 gem
- Great Gem Pack: 312.5 $WAX, contains 2 gems
Simple Gem Packs will only drop the first tier of Gems, Chipped Gems. Great Gem Packs have a chance to drop all tiers of Gems — even Perfect Gems!

Alongside Gem boosts, we will also be keeping an eye on drop rates to ensure Gem distribution is fair and balanced, and may make adjustments for balance if necessary.
How do I use Gems?
Gems of any tier can be used to enhance gear. This will use NeftyBlocks’ NFT upgrade feature, also used for Wombot Miners.
All rarities of Professions gear can be enhanced with Gems. Once enhanced, the gear will be available for normal use in your Dungeon Master inventory.
If you upgrade the Level or Rarity of your gear, any production boosts from Gem enhancement will be lost.
The maximum production boost will be set by the bonus provided by a Perfect Gem of that type. For example, a Perfect Diamond Gem provides a 55% production boost, therefore the production boost cap for Cook’s gear is 55% per piece of gear.
How do I earn $WUF rewards?
The first wallet to obtain the #1 mint of each Perfect Gem will receive a WUFFI token prize. The prizes are as follows:
- #1 Perfect Emerald: 100M $WUF
- #1 Perfect Ruby: 150M $WUF
- #1 Perfect Diamond: 1B $WUF
- #1 Perfect Sapphire: 400M $WUF
- #1 Perfect Topaz: 200M $WUF
- #1 Perfect Amethyst: 150M $WUF
We will send these prizes directly to winning wallets on November 15, or after the associated Gems have been minted.
