Technical Update on AtomicHub on WAX
Hello everybody. We sincerely apologize for the ongoing issues, and we want to provide you with an update on the current situation.
Since last week, we’ve been dealing with a few user-facing errors on the WAX network. So far, with your help, we were able to identify the following:
- Direct NFT transfers over AtomicHub appearing unprocessed on the frontend
- Secondary marketplace trades appearing unfulfilled on the frontend
- Inventory purchased via drops not transferred to the new owners’ accounts
Our team has initially identified a memory leak on the node as the core issue. Attempting to fix it unveiled another network of interconnected attritions. We believe that any sustainable fix is impossible until these are addressed and resolved.
To speed up the process, we deployed additional developer resources solely to this project at the highest priority. We have already made progress with inventory-related errors, so you should now see your recently transferred or purchased WAX NFTs on AtomicHub. If not and if clearing the browser cache doesn’t help, please, contact us and provide us your WAX account name. The next action item on our list is the primary sales service to ensure stability for upcoming drops and retroactively carry out sales transactions in the ‘reserved’ state.
Unfortunately, with the memory leak still at the forefront, we’ll need to process a significant amount of data to restore operations. This means that there will be delays. As of now, we don’t anticipate a fix this week. We will, however, give you a definite deadline for that next week.
Activity on other networks continues as normal — that said, we will take this as an opportunity to review the code for Polygon, Immutable X and zkEVM as well to ensure nothing of the sort happens on these blockchains.
We fully understand that this is not the update you were waiting for, and we share your frustration. We will keep you updated on our progress and hope to share more than just a clearer timeline next week.
We are grateful for every report that brought this to our attention and every suggestion coming in from the community. Please know that we are doing everything in our power to restore AtomicHub on WAX to the smooth, fast, and reliable experience you’ve come to love. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.
