The Dungeon Worlds Genesis Land Drop on WAX is coming!
Dear Wombat Family,
Most of you have heard about it already — our Genesis Land NFT Drop is happening this coming Thursday, December 29th, starting at 4 pm UTC. The waiting time is almost over, and we would like to break down what is actually about to happen.
What is Dungeon Worlds?
Dungeon Worlds is the up-and-coming extension of our immensely popular game Wombat Dungeon Master. Ever since it’s inception last year, it’s gotten a strong foothold amongst Top 15 most popular Web 3 Games according to DappRadar.
In essence, the game is about staking your NFTs and performing so-called “dungeon runs” to receive crypto rewards at the end of each 6-week season. The amount of rewards depends on the number and rarity of the NFTs staked, the equipment and the players' activity. Over 11k players play Wombat Dungeon Master every day.
With Dungeon Worlds, anyone will be able to run their own dungeon for players to explore, the reward pools will be much more extensive and players will be able to descend (and hence receive rewards) into multiple dungeons at the same time. What is the Genesis Land Drop about?
To run a dungeon in Dungeon Worlds, their owners will be required to own Land. A minimum of 3x3 adjacent Lands will be needed to set up a dungeon. Since there will only be 10000 Lands on each blockchain, the total number of dungeons will also be limited.
Lands will come in multiple editions, starting with the Genesis Edition. These Lands will be the most pristine and valuable of all Lands in Dungeon Worlds, and will grant their owners benefits even before the launch of Dungeon Worlds.
Since running a dungeon requires a larger patch of Lands, we provide Lands only in ready-made configurations of 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 and 10x10 adjacent Lands so their owners can create and run dungeons right off the bat.
This is the total number of Genesis Land Packs that will be available in the Genesis Land Drop:
- 20 Small Packs, each containing a pre-minted 3x3 set of adjacent Dungeon Worlds Genesis Lands
- 10 Medium Packs, each containing a pre-minted 4x4 set of adjacent Dungeon Worlds Genesis Lands
- 4 Large Packs, each containing a pre-minted 5x5 set of Dungeon Worlds Genesis Lands
- 1 Mega Pack configuration, split into 2 Mega Packs, containing a pre-minted 10x10 set of Dungeon Worlds Genesis Lands. Please note: For technical reasons, this pack had to be split into two packs which will be transferable independently, but the Lands contained in these two Mega Packs will only make a 10x10 patch of adjacent Lands if used together.
VIP and Public Drops
The overall drop will be performed in 34 individual drops on Neftyblocks. This way anyone participating will know precisely which coordinates their land patch will have on the Dungeon Worlds grid map.
Each of the drops will have a fixed price and will yield exactly one pack.
There will be VIP Drops and Public Drops, most of the drops being VIP. There is an allowlist process for the VIP Drops:
- All Wombat VIPs level 4 and higher will be allowed to participate
- A set of other community members who have been determined through a contest have been added
- All other people interested in participating can still win allowlist spots in contests and promotions, or be selected through the application process via this form
Who else will run a dungeon?
