Hello everyone! Wombat’s social feed — a.k.a. Vibes — has been in the works for a while right now — and we’d like to take this chance to thank everyone who helped us test it. Working together with you has led to a lot of important discoveries that escaped our field of view. That brings us to the next point — where it’s at and how we want to proceed.

After the first closed testing round, we were pointed to a few critical points that needed addressing — hence, it is taking a bit longer to push out.

Critical point 1. Privacy

From the feedback we got, a lot of people were concerned about what exactly they wanted to broadcast on Wombat. Some felt wary about the visibility of certain game activities or who exactly would have access to these updates. Hence, we were working on a privacy feature that gives you more control over who sees your activity in the feed.

Aspect 2. Lack of interaction

A lot of our testers found the first iteration overly simplistic — something we were almost sure would be the case. Hence, we’ve been adding basic reactions to posts that will pave the way for another utility avenue for $WAS.

Reactions include:

This is not the final set, of course, and we’re eager to hear from you what other reactions you’d love to see!

Moving forward

‘Vibes’ would have an entirely different look and feel if not for the community input, and we’ve loved working with our level 6 & 7 VIPs and $WAS holders on this. But we need more testers to make sure this will truly be a success. It’s a major step forward for the Wombat app and for $WAS token, and we want to bring it to you in its best possible form.

Hence, we would like to invite VIPs level 4 and 5 to the closed tests. We will try to reach you proactively via email, but if you are in either of the Tiers, please reach out to us on Telegram or Discord to enter the testing round and get a feedback form.

We expect this round to last two weeks. After this, we will process the feedback, plan the necessary tweaks and gradually roll it out throughout August. Afterwards, there’s plenty of work to be done on matchmaking, chats, user-generated posts — and other exciting layers to enrich your experience with Vibes.

Thank you once again for your patience — we will strive to deliver the feature to you asap!
