$WOMBAT IDO: latest updates
Hi Wombat Family!
With less than a week left prior to the IDO, it’s more important than ever that you have all the information you need. Thus, we want to share some updates with you. Before we get into the details, there are no drastic changes to the procedure — everybody who already got or will get the official invitation to the token sale with KYC instructions will be able to participate.
Purchase currency
After long consideration, the Polkastarter team and we decided to go for $MATIC instead of $USDC to reduce barriers for participants. It means that everyone participating in the IDO will need to buy or swap other tokens for $MATIC instead.
Token purchase cap
Following discussions with Polkastarter, the maximum allocation for allowlist winners who don’t hold POLS (the Polkastarter token) will be $1250, and the maximum allocation for POLS holders (those who made it on the final allowlist) will be $2000. If you are a Wombat community member with a strong interest in buying significantly more than $1250 or $2000 in the IDO, please email us at contact@wombat.app.
Update from 25.07.2022 as follows:
Public sale token allocation
Instead of 3% as communicated before, only 1% of the total supply of $WOMBAT will be set aside for the token sale.
KYC deadline extended
Instead of July 25th, 13:00 UTC, KYC submissions will be accepted until July 26th, 13:00 UTC.
We will do our best to prevent any such short-notice changes before the token sale. From now on, there will only be exciting news! 🚀

Prior to the IDO, no details will de publicly disclosed about the token smart contract(s), potential exchange listings, liquidity pools and so forth. Please assess any of such information carefully and remember it will only come from official sources:
