The Wombex Ethereum launch Bootstrap Event is about to begin

Today, we’ve announced our long-awaited launch on Ethereum. Now it’s time to share the details of the Wombex Ethereum launch Bootstrap Event!

Wombex started off on BNB chain and quickly became dominant in the #WOMWars there. Then again on Arbitrum, Wombex was able to secure the majority veWOM holdings among Wombat yield aggregators [1]. These achievements were possible thanks to active participation from our wonderful community in a series of Wombex Bootstrap Events.

Now, Wombex is expanding to new horizons — Ethereum. Our goal is to continue Wombex’s success story and become the #1 yield aggregator in Wombat’s Ethereum ecosystem as well.

We plan to achieve this goal by launching our Wombex Ethereum launch Bootstrap Event. We believe it will allow Wombex to accumulate a huge amount of veWOM right at launch and become #1 in #WOMWars on Ethereum from day one!

How to participate in the Ethereum launch Bootstrap Event?

First of all, contributors must acquire WOM on Ethereum. There are two options how this can be done:

1. Buy WOM on Ethereum using Uniswap.
2. Transfer WOM from BNB chain or Arbitrum using https://www.portalbridge.com

When you have acquired WOM on Ethereum, you have to deposit it in the Ethereum launch Bootstrap Event. It’s simple, just follow the following steps:

1. Access the “Bootstrap” section on top of the Wombex UI (don’t forget to switch to the Ethereum chain).
2. Enter the desired amount of WOM you wish to contribute and press the “Convert & Stake” button.
3. Congratulations! You are successfully participating in the Bootstrap event. Track your WMX rewards in the “Bootstrap” section of the website.

The Bootstrap event rewards

Minted wmxWOM
The WOM provided by Bootstrap event participants is converted to Wombex-owned veWOM (used for LP rewards boosting and participating in Wombat governance) and as a result, wmxWOM is minted in a 1:1 ratio (and automatically staked into the Bootstrap event contract receiving WMX rewards on a block-by-block basis).

After the end of the Bootstrap event, contributors can unstake their wmxWOM to use them in one of the two yield-gaining options:

1. Providing liquidity to the wmxWOM/WOM trading pair on Wombat via Wombex to gain boosted WOM rewards and WMX rewards issued pro-rata on top of that.
2. Staking wmxWOM via Wombex UI to earn 5% of overall mined WOM by Wombex LPs + WMX issued pro-rata on top of that.

WMX rewards
As mentioned above, during the Ethereum launch Bootstrap Event, Wombex will distribute 200,000 WMX rewards. When vote-locked, these tokens grant their holders access to a wide range of yield-gaining activities:

1. vlWMX holders receive a share of protocol fees (charged in mined WOM)
2. Allow Wombex users to participate in Wombat governance or sell governance power on the Wombex Bribe market
3. Govern the Wombex protocol, including treasury, emission schedule, and other parameters
