Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters have extended their overall deal with ABC. The showrunners of the dearly departed “Agent Carter” have signed a new three-year contract with the studio, Deadline reports. The new pact will see Fazekas and Butters serving as exec producers and showrunners on “The Gospel of Kevin,” a dramedy set to premiere this fall. The partners will also “continue to develop new projects through their Fazekas & Butters production company” under the deal.

“Working with ABC Studios is sort of like working with people who are fans — they’re creative and smart and funny and almost always support our weird ideas,” Fazekas and Butters said in a statement. “They’re great partners, and we’re happy to make our home here.”

Fazekas and Butters have worked with ABC for four years now. Along with the feminist-minded Marvel series “Agent Carter,” the two “have sold a number of projects to broadcast, cable, and streaming” including “Gospel of Kevin” and “The Death of Eva Sofia Valdez,” a revenge drama written by Charise Castro Smith. They also were the EPs and showrunners of “Resurrection,” a drama centered on people returning from the dead and their shocked loved ones. The series ran for two seasons. Fazekas and Butters introduced their production company “as a full-fledged, writer-friendly pod based at ABC Studios” in 2015.

Before beginning their professional relationship with ABC, the duo created the cult CW series “Reaper,” a comedy about a young man who literally does the devil’s bidding. “Law & Order: SVU,” “Hawaii Five-0,” “Terra Nova,” and “Dollhouse” are among Fazekas and Butters’ other credits.
