In solidarity with our Asian sisters

According to Pew Research, about four-in-ten U.S. adults say it has become more common for people to express racist views toward Asians since the pandemic began. In addition, Asian and Black Americans are more likely to report adverse experiences due to their race or ethnicity since the pandemic began. STOP AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) HATE’ report shows that their center received nearly 4K hate incident reports from March 19, 2020 to February 28, 2021. The number of hate incidents reported represent only a fraction of the total number of hate incidents and highlights the vulnerability of Asian Americans to discrimination and related violence.
According to Washington Post, more than 68 percent of documented reports of anti-Asian harassment and violence since the beginning of the pandemic were from women. It was a trifecta of racism, misogyny, and lax gun control led to yesterday’s horrific events where 6 Asian women were gunned down in Atlanta.
We stand in solidarity with our Asian sisters and hold space for anyone who wants to talk or share their experience. You are not alone. We are all in this together. ❤
If you are looking for ways to support our Asian brothers, sisters, and non-binary community members, here are some organizations fighting anti-Asian hate that can use your support.

Take care and stay safe,
