Bio: Sheetal Shyam is a transgender activist and actress. She became the first transgender actress in Indian cinema when she appeared in Ka Bodyscapes (2016) and later worked on Aabhaasam also. Shyam has been actively involved in LGBT rights movement. She confessed in 2017 Kerala Literature Festival that sexual minorities like her are considered outcasts in Indian society and aren’t given their dues.
