She joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2014 and contested the 2014 parliament elections from Thrissur.

Mather is the KPCC general secretary. Ms Jebi also headed the training division of AICC in several states like Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Assam and Rajasthan during 2011 -15.
