Bio: Shobha Surendran is an aspiring political leader from Kerala, who belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party. Shobha currently serves as the National Executive Member of BJP and has acted as the State President of BJP Mahila Morcha.
Shobha hails from Vadakkaanchery, Thrissur District. Her husband K.K Surendran is also a politician, associated with BJP. She is an agriculturist, and completed PDC from Calicut University in 1994. Associated with Bharatiya Janta Party alongside her husband, she is the first women leader from Kerala to hold a position at National level.
She unsuccessfully contested in Lok Sabha Elections 2014 representing Bharatiya Janata Party from Palakkad constituency. In 2016 State Assembly Election she actively participated in the election campaign, which witnessed the success of BJP for the first time in state politics. She was elected to the National Executive Committee of the Party in 2013, becoming the first women to hold this position.
