2018 was a year. There were some highs (Amazon HQ2 moving to our neighborhood) and some lows (Amazon HQ2 moving to our neighborhood), but none the less we made it through.

Would I want to relive the past 12 months? Absolutely not, but at least we can look back on them and laugh.

We asked our WiST group to summarize their 2018 with a few quotes… so here they are:

From the Basic- “The only thing constant is change”

From the Sports Fan- “ The Philidelphia Eagles are World Champions”

From the Practical One- “ You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.” — Friedrich Nietzsche

From the “Do’er”- “Do not wait; the time will never be ‘just right’. Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.” — George Herbert

From the Realists- “[It’s was] a year of professional learning opportunities and growth”

From the Determined- “You have to seize as many opportunities as possible. And that means you’re going to be grinding day and night. That’s what she said. But Seriously.” — Jen Gotch

From the Forward Thinker- “thank you, next”

From the Feminist- “Don’t let anyone define you. You define yourself” — Billie Jean King

From the Workaholic- “There are no traffic jams along the extra mile” — Roger Staubach

From the Leader- “You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.” — Abraham Lincoln

As we head into the new year, it’s important to reflect on our accomplishments and experiences from 2018. However, it’s more important to remember that you have 365 brand new days in front of you. Start each one with your best foot forward and end it with zero regrets.

What’s the quote that describes your 2018? Drop it in the comments below.
