Elite sportswomen, media and fans of women in sport all converged in Manly and online this week to hear Angela Pippos, Kerri Pottharst and Nat Cook talk about the current state of play.

I had the pleasure of organising this event on behalf of Volleyball Australia.

I’ve collated some of the key tweets from the event.

Pre-gaming

2015 changed the game for women in sport

Sport for all

What are sponsors of women in sport looking for?

Women in sports media

I’ve always said…

On branding and different national team names for women and men

One of the reasons girls disengage with sport

Teamwork ;-)

Is Volleyball the most gender equal sport?

Can we stop with the bikini questions?

And it’s not compulsory, FYI

On quotas

Sarni Williams makes a case for women and men training together

And that’s a wrap

And I think, it all went ok

If you’re keen to read all the tweets, I’ve collated them in a spreadsheet. Because I’m geektastic like that.

If you want to dive more in-depth into the state of play for women in sport in Australia, get yourself a copy of Angela Pippos’ book, Breaking the Mould. It’s a cracking read.
