Another year and another successful Decoded conference happened in beloved Brussels. It was full of exciting announcements, like Nova Wallet, in collaboration with Mercuryo, coming with Debit Cards for the Polkadot ecosystem. Those two days were full of interesting talks and panels, intensive discussion, but also fun.

Gavin Wood unveiled this initiative aimed at reducing fragmentation and enhancing network composability. It builds on Polkadot 2.0 advancements like Agile Coretime and Elastic Scaling. DOTphin is bringing us POAP NFTs to support marine conservation. And ChaosDAO? They brought us the culture and fun part.

KATE HÀ and DJ HÁ TRANG about ‪SubWallet

SubWallet is a comprehensive non-custodial wallet solution designed for the Polkadot, Substrate, and Ethereum ecosystems. It aims to improve user experience and interface, making it easier to manage multiple seed phrases, tokens, and dApps across different networks. It supports over 150 networks, 450 tokens, and 80+ dApps, providing a secure, open-source platform that prioritizes privacy and self-custody.

Deloitte is partnering with Polkadot’s KILT Protocol to integrate reusable digital credentials for KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) processes. These credentials are stored on the user’s device and can be shared selectively, ensuring privacy and security.

The question is now, will have more talks by women during these events? Hopefully yes. 🔥

A meetup for women in the ecosystem took place on the second (very rainy) day of Decoded. My worries that no one would come were immediately changed once the first few people came on time and were in a good mood. My goal for the event was to connect with all talented women in the ecosystem, share our experiences, and discuss possible collaborations. It was heartwarming to take a few steps back and look at women who deeply dived into a conversation with each other.

I made new friends, talked about collaboration with others, and got inspired to meet up with others in the future. The best that happened is that I got a lot of positive feedback and I’m happy to do it next time too!
