The organizers of Women Startup Competition are bringing the finals to London in 2017. They are going on a roadshow around much of Europe to organize pre-finals and unplugged events in 9 European countries. Since the launch of Women Startup Competition in 2014 it has given numerous opportunities for female entrepreneurs & gender diverse startups, but also helped angel investors and venture capital investors, who are joined the initiative.

We created this program to help these startups, and among those who have a healthy gender diverse background. We believe that we need to support gender diversity in business to .” — sad Mr. Tamas Muller, founder of the competition — “2017 is the year when we are coming to London, as we believe that this forth moving entrepreneurial environment gives a bigger opportunity for our contestant to make the next step, and we hope that UK’s famous entrepreneurial and startup approach can/will be a good example to follow for foreign angels & VC’s.”
In 2014–2016, Women Startup Competition has received and professionally supported more than 300 applications from 4 continents. THIS YEAR we already reached over 200 pre-registrations — and we hope this will more encourage young talents to follow this path! At the 4th Women Startup competition, we envy to welcome a growing number of innovative gender diverse entrepreneurships and startups, to participate at this life changing experience!
The 4th Women Startup Competition brings many new changes for participants, sponsors and followers of the movement. By extending the structure, beyond the online selection process and the week-long workshops based mentoring and Demo day, the organizers have opened more regional event, in 11 countries across Europe, from Helsinki to Porto, to ensure that the best startups from Europe could compete.

Although the final event and so the Demo Day will be on the 1st July in London, the organizers encourage to send your application as soon as possible as the prize of the winner of the regional pre-finals, is to receive a fix seat in London, among the 12 finalist. One additional participation will be offered to the applicant team, nominated online by the audience.
In regards to the application, there is no industry or thematic requirement, any idea owner, entrepreneur, startup can apply who believe that his cause or solution might attract the interest of the audience and the investors. All applications are welcome!
The only requirement set by the organizers is, that the applicants should have an equal gender diversity (50%-50%) representation within the entrepreneurial/startup team, so they can inspire others by their talent and their professional calling. Past years’ competition experiences show that ideas from within mobile industry, biotechnology, fashion industry, artistic and gastronomy could have been realized by receiving investment through participation to the Women Startup Competition. We are also really glad to experience, that more and more young mother finds their way back to business with some unique solutions for kids.
Mrs., Andrea Lukacs, organizing partner of the competition, claims in his closing words — “We are confident, to create a unique possibility to get noticed and successful, for the constantly growing startup and investor community. We launched the competition in 2014, with the aim to attract the attention of the business decision makers to female participation in businesses — as one of the key players to achieve economic competitiveness — due to their talent and entrepreneurial and/or professional competence. And so encourage others to conquer global markets. However, the competition itself is not the main goal why we do this, but rather to build that gender diverse entrepreneurial and investor community culture, whom members are not only determined but also actively acting to cooperate, motivate and financially supporting the professional evolvement and ambition of gender diversity in our future.”
