If you haven’t let yourself get angry yet, this is where you’ll start.

But, if you’re not ready or willing to get angry, then close this window, sneak back in to your safe, White bubble, and come back when you’re ready to work.

Believe me, you’ll get there eventually, and when you do, your anger will scare the hell out of you. And yet, it will be that anger that finally helps you overcome the paralyzing guilt and inertia that so many Whites use — much like a shield — to hide in plain sight from the inhumanity inflicted against Blacks.

Until you allow yourself to recognize the explosive rage felt by generations who’ve been intentionally suffocated and endured decades of abuse, injustice, and persecution, you’ll continue to be a part of the problem.
