Happy International Women's Day!
Today, March 8th, is a day set aside to celebrate all the amazing women that you have in your life including yourself. This past week we have made a point of trying to shine some light on the amazing women we have right here in Barcelona working in tech!
Unfortunately 6 days were just not enough to be able to properly show you how much talent and incredible people we have here, we wish we could do it every day!
We have loved to be part of this community and seeing it grow, there are many more amazing women in tech here in Barcelona than you know and all and each one of them are absolutely brilliant professionals, thriving, creating and living amazing lives! So for today we did not want to just showcase one women, we wanted to showcase ALL of them!! (or at least as many as we can)
For us is important to have this platform to showcase this women because when we were little there were no women's march, no organizations for women in tech, most of us started other career paths before we found our way into the tech world.
So today more than ever we want to keep showcasing this amazing group of people we get to be part of, to remember that we are not alone, that there is a community of people who understands and has your back whenever you need it to.
Things have gotten better for women yes, but bias is still present on everyone, sometimes even ourselves and is so important that we all know that we can do anything we want no matter who we are; we keep working so when you need help you know there is a group behind you ready to support you. You know that you’re not alone.
And that is why we love #IWD because it allows us to stop for a day and thank all this amazing women that are not only incredible humans but also a corner stone of the tech community. And today and every day they deserve some love and appreciation.
End today giving some love to at least one women in your life who deserves it, and let's make today just a tiny bit better than yesterday!
