Submission Guidelines
Would you like to share your story with the women.js community?
We’re committed to supporting self-identifying women working in STEM and the tech industry, and to work towards our goals of promoting gender equality and visibility in our industry, we have put together the women.js publication.
We created this space to share how different every woman’s path to tech/experience working in tech can be. If you’re interested in sharing your journey or experience working in tech, we’d love to hear from you.
What we’re looking for
We want to create a repository of information for women working in technology and young women considering the field. We’d love to read:
- your path to tech — how did you get to where you are today?
- your experiences working in tech — were you the first person to take maternity leave? What were your company dynamics like? What has your mentorship experience been like?
- stories that accurately represent this experience of women and other underrepresented groups in the tech community.
- your pitches about what you think our community would like to read!
We reserve the right to alter and edit stories
The women.js team reserves the right to edit the content of your story if grammatical errors are found, along with adding logos, bylines, ads, images, etc. to your story. Our editing aims to make your work shine brighter and put your best foot forward on the internet.
The logistics
We’re looking for pieces ranging from 300–2000 words, and appreciate all suggested photos and videos to include with your piece. Please also include a short bio, headshot and link to your LinkedIn or portfolio.
