How do you perceive this word?
What does it imply for you as a business leader, or a manager, or a CHRO?
For me, the word conjured images that were beyond my non-technical brain.
But when I got an opportunity I was ready to jump into the ocean with a diving instructor but without any diving gear
Yes, you guessed it right. Without any prior knowledge about anything technical. Not even remotely. But before I dived into the ocean, I wetted my feet in the Data pool. No, not pool. It was a gurgling river of Data where I tentatively wetted my feet and then finally took a plunge into its world.
While swimming in the river of Data, I came across — Artificial Intelligence. She further introduced me to her sons Mr. Machine Learning and Mr. Deep Learning.
While I was still making my acquaintances with them, I was introduced to their neighbor — Mr. Security, and the member of his clan — internet security, cyber security, and cloud security.
The deeper I delved, fascinated I became with the metaverse of technology. While I was marveling at the worldwide web of technology, I realized that there are good and bad people everywhere. Even in the technology world.
And this is where the role of Security becomes paramount. Since I am still a newbie swimming in the ocean of technology, I am yet to write on lots of topics in the field. But with a hope that I will one day be able to build a portfolio where I have written about almost every topic in the world of technology.
