It’s been almost a year since we created the Women in Tech publication. During this time, I’ve had numerous women reaching out to express how they’ve leveraged their Medium-published stories to showcase their work to recruiters and in interview processes effectively.
The impact of these narratives extends far beyond the digital space, empowering women in the tech industry to highlight their skills and experiences with tangible results in professional settings. It warms my heart to know women have been writing about their experiences in the tech industry, a male-dominated field, as we are always tired of stressing this fact.
When I reflect on my own journey and think about other women who have leveraged their content to their professional benefit, I thought I could share a piece of advice or two on how you can also create your writing portfolio with the pieces you have been writing, or encourage you to start writing — your voice is needed, and your story matters!
