Every BTech student faces the classic dilemma at least once in their academic journey: should I dive into the world of entrepreneurship, the grander term for business, or stick to a job?

Now, that’s a question with no easy answer, but if you need yet another perspective, here’s my take on it.

Let’s kick things off with the allure of a job — a steady income like clockwork. Who wouldn’t appreciate a fixed paycheck at the end of every month? Even if you slip up occasionally or decide to jet off on an impromptu vacation, that money keeps rolling in.

On the flip side, entrepreneurship is a rollercoaster. You might revel in profits for a couple of months, only to face a steep downturn the next.

Now, let’s talk about efforts. Here’s a myth I want to debunk. Some believe a job is a walk in the park, given the 9-to-5 routine, while others argue that businesses are less demanding since you’re your boss. The truth? Both are myths, and none of them are what they seem to be.

Success demands effort, regardless of your chosen path. Workload varies with your professional stage and the phase of your project or business. Comparing job and business workloads is like comparing oranges to oranges.
