The Women’s March Global Fifth Annual Event has finally arrived! This year, our world looks a bit different, and many of us cannot march — but we will ALL be counted.

There is an urgent need to better map critical issues facing women and gender-diverse people across the globe. Human rights authorities are declaring that gender-based violence and inequities in the workplace are as bad as they were 25 years ago. Meanwhile funding for initiatives to advance women’s equity is found to be disappointingly low and profoundly ineffective.
That’s why we are excited to launch the January 2021 mobilisation event: The Global Count.
The Global Count will set the foundation for women and gender-diverse people to define how global institutions should work towards gender equity. This is an opportunity to give women and gender nonconforming people around the world a chance to have their voices heard and their experiences counted. This is a chance to present global and national decision-makers with a real picture of the most urgent reforms that are needed.
Our simple online poll allows you to flag the issues most effecting you and your community. This will produce a map of the most urgent gender-related issues in every part of the world to amplify our collective impact and shape future policies and funding allocations.
It’s time women and gender-diverse people define what is needed in the critical push for equity globally. It’s our world and our voice.
