Over the past two months, Women’s March Global has launched actions to End Violence Against Women. In February we explored The Law and Sexual Violence. We learned about sexual violence laws worldwide, including movements driving changes in the law and demanding access to justice for survivors.
This week we released our fourth of 5 actions to EndVAW (Violence Against Women): In partnership with our network of Global Chapters we have launched a mini-course called “Our Community.” Through this mini-course, we hope to make visible the issues women face in their local communities and emphasise that women’s experiences of violence are not isolated.
Our Global Chapters will be sharing their experiences and the grassroots actions they are taking to advance women’s rights. This Webinar platform gives our Chapters the opportunity to showcase the global voice of the movement, engage in dialogue, and share stories across borders and timezones.
Each week we will be in conversation with an ambassador from a local chapter. Followed by a joint forum at the end of the month with all the participating chapters to discuss women’s rights globally. These courses will be conducted on the Women’s March Global’s Facebook page for the month of May.
Sign up for the course now to receive weekly updates and reminders! Course attendees will receive special weekly emails with course summaries and have access to resources and notes related to the course. See below for the complete schedule.
