Q: Welcome to our server Garth! Can you briefly introduce yourself?
A: Sure, my name is Garth Midgley, and I’m the founder and creative director for Wonderman Nation.
I have 24 years of experience developing games and have worked on 20 published titles. I’ve worked with some of the world’s largest IPs, studios, and publishers, including Atari, Lucas Arts, Ubisoft, Hasbro, Activision, Rockstar, Take-Two Interactive, Vigil Games, Konami, Warner Bros., Acclaim, Infogrames, and Nintendo.

Q: Let’s start the AMA, shall we? Here are some questions that our followers would love to hear. Can you please introduce Wonderman Nation?
A: Absolutely! Wonderman Nation is Final Fantasy battle game mechanics meets Axie Infinity ecosystem meets CryptoKitties breeding. It’s a play-to-earn gaming metaverse adventure like you’ve never seen before.
Wonderman Nation is a collection of P2E metaverse games with token and NFT cross-play, providing more utility, more opportunity for discovery, and more fun.
Players can battle PvP, compete in tournaments, breed new creatures, discover NFTs during play, and blast off into the metaverse arcade game (Wonderman Attacks) with cross-play gaming to discover new creatures on new planets—and bring them back to breed new creatures with new abilities and mark their stake with ongoing earnings through genomic breeding royalties.
We’ve created deep, compelling, and unique use cases for both the governance and utility tokens, creating a strong connection and balance with the dual token model, for a next-generation play-to-earn gaming ecosystem.
Q: What are some of Wonderman Nation’s core highlights and features?
A: Next-generation DNA on-chain breeding with verifiable results and NFT creature ownership. New creature breeds change the balance and strategy of the game itself, and they unlock new potential for rewarding the creature NFT owners.
This connects with our next-generation live marketplace that allows new players to play without buying creatures. Meanwhile, existing creature NFT owners can easily loan their creatures out and share revenue royalties with players who are using their creatures.
We also have next-generation reward pools that are dynamically adjusted for sustainable utility token release in line with community growth, balancing the rewards per battle to keep the outgoing and incoming supply in check!
The reward pools have annual, monthly, weekly, and daily pool allocations, with all PvP rewards coming out of these pools. This means that if we have a large number of incoming players, they aren’t all taking a set amount of reward per play, which can quickly drain the pool and create an oversupply in the market.
And we’ve developed a next-generation of easy on-boarding for crypto games — making them just as easy (or easier) to get into as regular games so that we can attract a larger gaming audience:
- Easy sign up. Just an email and password required.
- Browser-based. Zero downloads or installs required, and it’s accessible on all devices across all platforms.
- No upfront cost. Players aren’t required to hold project tokens — our live marketplace allows new players to play without buying creatures, and existing players can easily loan their NFT creatures out and share rewards.
- Purchases can be made using a credit card, bank deposit, or crypto.
Q: Token use case/economics?
A: We have a dual token model: WNDR — Governance token | NKTR — Utility token

We’ve purposefully developed heaps of use cases for the tokens and NFTs.
Our metaverse cross-play provides a sustainable cyclical economy and provides more fun. This extension of meaningful and complimentary use cases across multiple games in the metaverse means that the tokens and NFTs have more use and more value, and it allows us to also balance the game and the economy. The current games in development are Wonderman Nation (the battle game), Wonderman Attacks (an arcade game), and Wonderman Social (NFT community space), plus there will more games in the future.
- Anyone who discovers a new creature in Wonderman Attacks will get an ongoing percentage of revenue for future sales for both that creature and for future breeds!
- By giving players lots of great and meaningful motivation to spend their tokens and use their NFTs (some NFTs will be eternal, and others can be used and removed from the supply), we create an ecosystem that can be balanced, reliable, and fair.
- And game development is an ongoing process of development and iteration, so we will very likely add even more use cases as development continues.
Q: Can you introduce the team as well?
A: Would love to! We have an experienced and multi-award-winning AAA game development team with over 220 years of experience and over 130 published titles combined. Together, we’ve worked with the top IPs on our planet, including Star Wars, Zelda, Transformers, Far Cry, Darksiders, The Darkness, BioShock, South Park, Looney Tunes, and L.A. Noire, and with leading publishers including Rockstar, Activision, Nintendo, Sega, Warner Bros., Disney, Nickelodeon, Microsoft, Sony, EA, and Ubisoft, to name a few.
My team are all long-time development partners and friends. Most of us have worked together for 10–24 years.

3️⃣Phase 3 — Questions from the community
Q: Because of recent incidents of security failures we have experienced in the blockchain ecosystem, like what happened to Luna, can you tell us please whether your game project is fully audited or not to avoid such incidents?
A: Yep, we’re fully audited by Zokyo: audit report (PDF).
Q: Does the NKTR token have an infinite supply?
A: We have a small amount of inflation, 1–3%, which will be voted on by WNDR holders.
Q: How does the MCQ build the NFT community gaming in the future? Are there any plans to create a guild or anything else?
A: The ‘guild’ is built right into the game, where each and every user has direct access to stake their creature NFTs for rewards, and every user has the opportunity to borrow NFT creatures out of the live marketplace for free and split the rewards with the creature owners.
It’s a next-gen built-in guild.
Q: I want to know how you manage such a huge community.
A: We have a great community team, who all came from our early Wonderman Nation community, as well as from some of our long-time partner communities.
Q: What are the steps to become a part of your community and start getting revenues? Where do we buy? Where do we sign up? This looks like an amazing project!

A: Aha, I love this question … We build!! We build a great game and release it.
